What’s inside

The Executive Resume & Cover Letter Template is a polished, two-page resume with a matching one-page cover letter, designed for senior leaders whose career needs room. Navy serif headings, a centered name block and generous spacing give it a confident, traditional feel that still reads well on screen. The download includes:

Two-page executive resume as editable Word documents (.docx) in US Letter and A4
Matching cover letter as editable .docx files in US Letter and A4
PDF previews of the resume and cover letter in both sizes
A README with font links, editing tips and the license terms

Both documents are pre-filled with realistic sample content for a fictional operations executive, “Jordan Hayes”: an executive summary, a core competencies grid, selected achievements, four roles with measurable results, education and certifications, board work, systems and speaking. The cover letter shows a clear structure you can adapt: opening hook, proof, three specific contributions and a closing.

Formats & sizes

Microsoft Word .docx in US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) and A4 (210 × 297 mm), plus PDF previews. Headings use the free Google Font Crimson Text and body text uses Lato; download links are in the README. Without them, Word substitutes default fonts and the layout still holds, with small spacing changes.

How to edit

Open the file for your paper size in Word 2016 or newer, Word for Microsoft 365, Google Docs or LibreOffice and type over the sample text. All content is real body text, with no text boxes and nothing important in headers, so applicant tracking systems (ATS) can parse it. The layout runs on real Word styles (Title, Heading 1, Heading 2, Job Meta, Competencies and List Bullet), so new sections and roles match automatically. Dates align right with a tab stop, and the resume reflows naturally onto page two as you add or remove content. Export to PDF when finished.

Who it’s for

Directors, vice presidents, C-suite candidates, senior managers and consultants with ten or more years of experience, especially in operations, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, sales or the public sector, who need two pages to show scope and results. It also works for board and non-profit leadership applications. This is a digital download only; it does not include resume writing or coaching services.
